I wish you all a very happy, healthy New Year! We started the New Year with a New Year's Day lunch at The Swan in West Malling, Kent. West Malling is a lovely Kentish town, full of wonderful Georgian architecture and places of interest, and almost opposite The Swan is St. Mary's Abbey so if you are ever in the area I urge you to pay a visit.

St. Mary's Abbey in West Malling was founded in 1090 by the Benedictine order, it is still occupied by the Benedictine Nuns and also is now a retreat.
